Substance declarations
Where our products stand under the main chemical regulations that distributors and OEM customers ask about.
REACH — Substances of Very High Concern
Superflex conduit, fittings and hose products, with the exception of premium marine hose, do not contain any Substance of Very High Concern above the 0.1% Article 33 threshold, per the ECHA Candidate List as updated February 4, 2026 (253 entries), based on written declarations from our compound suppliers. Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
RoHS — Restriction of Hazardous Substances
All components manufactured by Superflex, including every category of fittings and weatherproof products, are RoHS 3 compliant under Directive 2011/65/EU and Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 — none of the ten restricted substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) is present above the permitted concentration, with no exemption relied upon.
Proposition 65
Listed chemicals relevant to our lines: vinyl chloride (CAS 75-01-4, residual monomer in PVC) for conduit, connectors and hose; carbon black (1333-86-4) for black nylon fittings; antimony trioxide (1309-64-4) for fire-retardant split conduit. Exposure from a finished product is highly unlikely, but because Superflex cannot know every end use, our products carry the Prop 65 warning where required. The statement sets out the position so you can decide your own labelling.
Conflict minerals (Dodd-Frank §1502)
It is Superflex policy not to knowingly use conflict minerals from the DRC or adjoining countries. The only 3TG material necessary to our conduit and hose is tin in organotin stabilizers; supplier inquiries confirm the raw materials, and therefore the products, are DRC conflict-free.
Phthalates
Rollerflex 4000 and 9000 series hose are formulated without ortho-phthalate plasticizers — no DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIBP, DINP, DIDP, DNOP, DPENP, DHEXP or DCHP above the 0.1% reporting threshold.
Bisphenol-A (BPA)
All hoses manufactured by Superflex — Sealproof conduit and Rollerflex hose — are made from compounds formulated without Bisphenol-A.

Food-contact hose — Rollerflex 4000 & 9000
The compounds used in Rollerflex 4000 and 9000 series hose are GRAS, prior-sanctioned, covered by an effective Food Contact Notification or Threshold of Regulation exemption, or listed in 21 CFR 178.2010, 178.3297, 178.3740, 178.3770, 181.5, 181.27 and 181.28 — acceptable for all food types up to 100 °C or the hose’s rated temperature. The 4000 series is additionally formulated to meet the requirements of NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 169; it is not NSF listed or approved.
TSE / BSE
Hose and conduit compounds contain tallow-derived lubricants sourced from the USA and Mexico. These derivatives comply with EU guidance 2011/C73/01 (EMA/410/01 rev. 3), Section 6.4, and are not prohibited cattle material under 21 CFR 189.5 and 700.27, so the products are not considered a TSE/BSE risk.
