What does "Extra Duty" mean on an in-use cover?

It is the UL 514D impact rating the NEC requires for outdoor receptacle covers on 15- and 20-amp circuits. Extra-duty covers withstand higher impact and UV exposure than standard-duty covers.

Will one cover fit a GFCI and a duplex receptacle?

Yes. The 18-in-1 (one-gang) and 45-in-1 (two-gang) mounting plates adapt to duplex, decorator/GFCI, single and round devices in either orientation.

Can the cover be locked?

Yes. The hasp accepts a small padlock to prevent unplugging.
