What is the difference between LFNC-A, LFNC-B and LFNC-C?
They are three constructions permitted by NEC Article 356. LFNC-B, the most common, is a smooth seamless jacket with an integral reinforcement between the inner and outer layers. LFNC-A is a smooth jacket over a corrugated core; LFNC-C is a corrugated outer jacket.
Can liquid-tight non-metallic conduit be buried?
Yes. Sealproof LFNC-B is listed for direct burial and concrete encasement; install per NEC 356.10 and the 300.5 cover requirements. UL 1660 and CSA C22.2 No. 227.2 are a harmonized standard, so the direct-burial approval applies in Canada as well as the US, subject to the inspector's acceptance. Older print legends may read DIRECT BURIAL IN US.
What connectors do I use?
Listed liquid-tight connectors sized to the conduit: Sealproof nylon connectors for corrosion-prone areas, zinc die-cast where a metal fitting is specified.
